Office Visits and Financial Info
Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about treatment, receive a comprehensive exam, and find out which treatment options best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete oral exam to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help you create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
- Take time to answer any and all of your questions
What happens after the initial consultation?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! If you or your child is ready for treatment, we can schedule your first appointment. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will start your treatment while ensuring you are as comfortable as possible. If your child isn't quite ready for treatment, we will schedule a follow-up in three to six months to monitor growth.
Scheduling Appointments
Visiting us every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. We will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, we recommend scheduling your next appointment as soon as possible so you can have multiple options. Keep in mind that most patients want before or after school and work, so those are typically the first to go!
We understand that “life happens”! If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
Financial Information
The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. Our staff will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each available payment plan option so that you can make the best choice for you and your smile. If you have insurance that will be covering any portion of your orthodontic treatment, please bring your information to your appointment and we will help you receive your benefit.
Typically, we file insurance one time at the beginning of treatment and they have the ENTIRE treatment time to pay off the benefit. If your insurance is canceled or changed at any point during treatment, please let us know as the benefits will change. If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or ideas about how we can make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one, contact us at 719-488-3737
We accept most major credit cards and insurance plans. We no longer accept DMO or DHMO plans.
